This is something I enjoy doing but don't do enough of: Designing patterns and tattoos. Well, apparently many think they look good as tattoos, so I take their word for it. =3

Silly question... would you mind if I tried my hand at rebuilding this image (or at least all the little symbols and stuff around the outside edge) in a vector program, and generally see if I can clean up and make the image more symmetric for the little icons and details around the outside?

It's very nifty though, and yeah, definitely can see the Okami inspirations in there. :-)

I am planning on doing that myself, assuming I can figure out how these fabled "vectors" work. If things work out as I am planning, I may color it computeredly in the somewhat near future.

Try Inkscape if you don't already have something else to work with. It's one of the simplest-to-use vector programs out there that's not a 'toy' editor you'll have to give up shortly after learning it, and it's available for Windows, Mac, and Linux.
